Nutcracker Passport

Chaffee Community Foundation and High Country Bank Official Rules and Consumer Disclosure

1) NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY to be eligible to win the Sweepstakes. Purchase does not improve odds of winning.  Void where prohibited

2) Odds: Odds of being selected as a Sweepstakes winner will depend on the total number of eligible entries

3) Prizes: Three (3) winners of a gift card package to local establishments. One (1) prize valued at $400.00.  One (1) prize valued at $300.00.  One (prize) valued at $100.00.  Prizewinners will be drawn randomly from qualified entries only.  Winners may make no substitution/transfer of prize. 

4) Sweepstakes period: The Sweepstakes period runs from Thursday, November 16, 2023 6am MST and ends Friday, December 15, 2023 at 3:45pm MST (“Sweepstakes Period”).

5) How to Enter:

i)Pick up a free Nutcracker Passport at participating sponsors. Take the Nutcracker Passport to sponsors displaying a nutcracker poster and write down the name of the nutcracker in the Nutcracker Passport.  Return the Nutcracker Passport to High Country Bank by 3:45pm on Friday, December 15, 2023.  Participating Sponsors are:  Amicas; DSI; First Colorado Land Office; Fun Street Family Arcade; High Country Bank; HomeSmart Preferred Realty; Kaleidoscope Toys; Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub; Salida Mountain Sports; Salida Pharmacy & Fountain; State Farm-Kate Woolman; Su Casa! Furniture & Sleepshop; Sweeties; The Mountain Mail; and Yolo Clothing.  (Addresses located at the end of official rules.

ii)Write-in: On a postcard or a card that is no smaller than 3 1/2 x 5 inches and no larger than 4 ¼ x 6 inches, legibly handwrite your complete name, main address, and phone number and mail with proper postage to:  High Country Bank, Nutcracker Passport, PO Box 309, Salida, CO 81201.  All write-in entries must be received by 3pm, Friday, December 15, 2023.

Regardless of entry method used to enter the Sweepstakes, there is a limit of one entry per person.No sponsors are responsible for any entry that is lost, late, illegible, stolen, mutilated, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, postage-due, misdirected or undeliverable. 

6) Eligibility: Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents, domiciled in the State of Colorado. Employees of High Country Bank, and their immediate families (spouses, parents, children and siblings, and each of their respective spouses) and members of the household of such individuals are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and taxes. By participating, entrant agrees to abide and be bound by the Official Rules and to accept the decision of the Chaffee Community Foundation, as final in all

7) Prize restrictions: Prizes are non-transferable. Federal, state and local taxes, and any expenses relating to the acceptance and use of the prize not specified, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Limit one prize per

8) Winner Selection: Three winners will be chosen from a random drawing from among all eligible entries received on or about 4:00pm MST on Friday, December 15, 2023. Winner selection will be drawn at High Country Bank’s main branch located at 7360 W Highway 50, Salida, CO 81201 by a representative of the Chaffee Community Foundation.  Winners need not be present to win.

9)Winner Notification/Prize Awards: Winners will be notified by phone and/or e-mail.  Winners will need to pick up their prizes by December 19, 2023 at High Country Bank’s main branch location in Salida, located at 7360 West Highway 50. 

10) Additional Terms: By participating, entrants agree to: a.) The Official Rules and the decision of the Chaffee Community Foundation which shall be final in all respects b.) release, discharge and hold harmless, Chaffee Community Foundation and High Country Bank, their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from any liability, claims, or damages arising out of their participation in the Sweepstakes, and the acceptance, use, misuse, or possession of any prize. By accepting a prize, the winners agree to, where legal, the use of their names and/or likenesses for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation or consideration.

11) Limitations of Liability: Chaffee Community Foundation, High Country Bank and participating sponsors are not responsible for the printing of or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes related materials; for stolen, lost, late, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible entries; or for entries that are received late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction. Chaffee Community Foundation and High Country Bank reserves the right to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud or technical failures compromise the integrity of the Sweepstakes as determined by Chaffee Community Foundation and High Country Bank, in their discretion.

12) Winner List: For the name of the winners, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: “High Country Bank and the Nutcracker Passport”, Marketing Department, P.O. Box 309 Salida CO 81201. Requests must be received no later than the end of the month following the close of the Sweepstakes.
