    Your way to Better Banking

    Is Easier Than You Think

With online banking and friendly and helpful staff, we can make switching banks easy! Just follow four simple steps.

    Step 1

Open an account with High Country Bank

Visit or contact High Country Bank to open your new account. Make sure to bring ID and an opening deposit. You can order checks and get an INSTANT ISSUE debit card right away!

    Step 2

Set up online banking and get our app

Take a look at your last few bank statements and cancel any bill payment services. Set up any transfers or payments with your new High Country Bank account; subscriptions, insurance, mortgage payments, utilities, etc. We will gladly show you how to navigate online banking and help you set up bill payments.

    Step 3

    Move your direct deposits

While most employers have their own forms to facilitate the change, we are happy to provide a confirmation letter you can utilize if needed. For benefits such as Social Security, we are happy to walk you through this step-by-step.

    Step 4

    Close your old accounts

We know it’s tempting to just empty your old accounts, however this can result in unauthorized charges. Once you have confirmed there isn’t any further activity in your old accounts, submit a request to have them closed to ensure there aren’t any surprises or unexpected bank fees.
